Dog Photoshoots
A dog photoshoot is perfect for capturing your pups unique personality at your favourite walking location or a nearby dog-friendly park. Whether you’re looking for posed pictures or lightning-fast action shots, I can cater for all requirements within my photoshoot packages. Just don’t forget to bring their favourite treats and toy, if they have one. A session with me is always an enjoyable experience, with a fun atmosphere from start to finish and I allow plenty of time to actively seek out the best locations for photos. Throughout the day, I will help you position your dog(s) in the most photogenic way and make sure your dog(s) enjoy the day just as much as you. Take a look at my social media accounts or dog photography portfolio to see more precious photos.

Studio photoshoots yield a very different collection of pictures to choose from. So anyone who books an outdoor photoshoot can redeem 10% off a studio session. T's & C's apply.
A £50 deposit is required to secure your chosen date, with the remainder to be paid at least 24 hours before. You’re also welcome to pay for your shoot in full upon booking if you prefer. Only the products specified within the photoshoot package are included and expire 6 months after your gallery goes live. After this time, you can still purchase images from your photoshoot, but cannot claim the complimentary products.
Looking for something a little different to an outdoor session?
I now offer pet studio photoshoots for your four-legged friends. You’ll be invited to my home in Melksham for a professional studio session to capture your dog’s unique personality in a slightly different way. We can even include the bonkers treat catching photos if this is something your dog can do.
Photoshoots make fantastic presents, why not buy a gift voucher?
Whether you’re buying a gift for a close friend, family member, or that special someone, all photoshoot packages can be customised to craft the perfect present. You can either buy the package listed above or opt for redeemable credit to give them the flexibility to choose any type of photoshoot.
Frequently asked questions
The most popular choice for dog photoshoots is your favourite walking location, with lots of picture opportunities. Thankfully it is simple enough to pop your dog(s) in the car and head to a destination of your choice. If you have a slightly more anxious dog or worry about letting your dog run in open spaces, I would highly recommend checking out secure dog walking fields. They usually cost about £10 per hour and you get exclusive hire of a secure field, so there is no risk of bumping into other dogs or losing your dog if they head off on an adventure alone. If you’d like some suggestions based on where I have been before, just give me a message.
Not at all. Some people would like to be included in the photoshoot, and others let the limelight be on their four-legged friend. However, if you’re worried because you don’t think you photograph well, I would suggest putting something smarter on and joining in for a little bit. Having photos taken with your dog(s) is totally different to having your photo taken in a studio or at a family meal. They provide a relaxing distraction and are something you can interact with.
I would suggest either giving your dog a good blast in the morning (if your session is later in the day) or arriving a little earlier to allow your dog to run off some initial steam and explore the location. Therefore, when I arrive and we are ready to begin, your dog will have calmed down a little bit and be ready to focus.
Treats! Lots of them! It’s surprising how many times people forget to pick up some treats before they leave home. I would also suggest buying some treats which they don’t usually have so you are more exciting for them during the photoshoot. If your dog also loves to play with toys, I would bring along their favourite one. Don’t forget to also put on your dog’s smartest collar. I would suggest avoiding harnesses for photos because they aren’t terribly pretty and bring along a thin lead (extendable ones are good) so that if we need to pop one on for some photos, I can remove it fairly easily afterwards.
Not at all. I would firstly suggest that you consider hiring a secure dog field as this may help you feel more comfortable letting your dog off the lead, as there are no distractions or escape routes. But if they are just not going to listen to you of a lead, be sure to bring along the thinnest lead you have (extendable leads are good) and we can edit the lead out afterwards and no one will ever know.
In short, we will reschedule! I appreciate that no one fancies getting drenched during a photoshoot and the British weather can be unpredictable. If the forecast is dry, cloudy or sunny, I will advise we stick with the plan and go ahead. But if it looks like a washout, I will discuss moving to a new date or time. I usually book one session per day so we can move the photoshoot to a different time if the weather turns – e.g. the morning might look drier than the afternoon.
The photoshoot itself is just the beginning. After your session, I will head home and start to narrow down the hundreds of images to just the best of the best. Once I have the final photos selected, it’s time to get to work with editing each photo, which I feel is just as important as taking the photos. This process usually takes up to 3 weeks, but I will always endeavour to deliver them to you sooner and, with your permission, share some sneaky peeks on social media. You will receive a link to a password-protected online gallery to view the entire collection once it is ready. You can share this link and password with as many family members and friends as you wish, while you decide which photos you would like to buy.
Clients often expect there to be a time limit when it comes to placing orders, but this is not the case with me. You’re welcome to buy your photos as soon as possible after viewing your gallery, or if you need a little longer to decide or wish to buy a handful now and more later, that is no problem at all. Any of the products included within your photoshoot package must be claimed within 6 months of the gallery going live. After this time you can still make purchases, but won’t be able to claim your free products.
I offer a variety of different products, including digital copies, wooden framed prints, canvases, photobooks and much more. Click here to view my photoshoot product price list in full.
